About Us: Our weekly Wednesday evening online Lubbock, TX based writing group welcomes folks from around the globe to participate. The more the merrier! Join fellow writers each week to show up, sit down, and get words on the page. No critiques. No sharing. No pressure. Just focused writing time alongside others doing the same. After the session, you're welcome to stick around to chat, connect, and build your writing community. Wherever you are in your project, you're not doing it alone—this is your space to write. Format: 7:00pm-8:30pm (1.5 hour duration) Central Time Zone, Chicago (Lubbock, TX) *It’s preferred to have participants switch their camera on for the first and last parts that are socialization focused. And then turning it off during our writing time. However, if for whatever reason you don’t want to turn it on, that’s perfectly okay too. This is your time. :) The first 15 minutes - We’ll briefly introduce ourselves and go around sharing what our goals for this writing session are. The next 60 minutes - This is our time to shut up and write for an hour. Words on the page. Be sure to have your materials ready. The last 15 minutes - We share how the session went. I’ll open the floor up for anyone who has writing questions. After this, those that need to hop off can, and those that would like to keep the fun going, staying to chat about books or movies/tv can do so. One of the best ways to continue learning the craft of writing is to consume it and share thoughts. Meeting platform: Google Meet
