Hi everyone!! (please read until the end) *NEW DATE* starting January 5, 2026 We will meet every Monday at 6pm at Sheep in the Mirror for one hour of focused and uninterrupted writing. This event is free but consumptions are mandatory + 1euro/person for the place. Whether you are a professional or a beginner, join us to meet like-minded people and benefit from a stimulating environment to pursue your writing endeavors. What does a typical session look like? We first go around the table to introduce ourselves and briefly speak about our writing project (optional). Everyone is welcome to share as much or as little as they want. Then we write for one hour, with no interruption. Golden rule: no talking or interacting during this hour! The facilitator will keep track of time and let you know when it's over. Then, we go around the table one more time, and everyone is welcome to share how the session went for them. This is also a good time to ask for advice or share anything you found useful. What's the point? It can be difficult to find motivation to write at home, and being surrounded by other people who have similar goals can be quite stimulating. You can also share difficulties you have and, who knows, walk out with some great piece of advice! It's also a good opportunity to mingle with like-minded people, although, as a reminder, this group's primary goal is not to socialize. Can I write anything I want? Yes. These sessions are not workshops. You won't be given any prompt, so it's best to come with a project: a novel, a poem, a script, a play, music... ***These sessions are not for coworking. Please do not join if your goal is to study your exams or read a book. Writing an essay or dissertation for school is accepted.*** The big table will be booked for us, just walk in and ask for the writing group.
