Hello writers and welcome to the Columbia chapter of Shut Up & Write! Meeting on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, our mission is to bring writers together for an hour of focused writing time. Whether it's to work on an ongoing project or to just spend some time with your thoughts, these sessions are here to give you the space and the time that you need to hone your craft. All writers and experience levels are welcome! This is not a critique nor a reading group so no one will read what you've written. These meetings are about getting your work done, building sustainable habits, and fostering connections with other writers in your area. When you show up, take some time to chat with your fellow writers and once everyone’s arrived, I will lead quick introductions and then set the timer for one hour of focused writing time. Afterward, we’ll have time to chat, talk about what went well (or what didn't go well), and then be on our merry way. This time is yours so if you are unable to stick around for the full hour, that's a-okay! We're just happy you're here. A Note About the Format and Schedule: We don’t host critiques or readings.
