Calling all Notts writers! Are you looking to get some writing done? Shut Up & Write is back at 6pm every Monday at Fisher Gate Point! Whether you're returning or thinking of giving it a try for the first time, everyone is welcome. Schedule 6pm – Arrive, get yourself something to drink/eat (there’s a bar/cafe at the venue), and introduce yourself and your goals for the session (if you want). 6.15 pm - Timer starts: write for 1 hour. If you arrive late, that’s fine; just grab a seat and quietly start your writing. 7:15 pm - Feel free to either leave or stick around for a while to chat and discuss how the session went, or maybe even write for a little longer. This is a relaxed (and free!) group, often with different faces each week, so you can pop in and out or be a regular. A few things to know: No need to sign up in advance - just come along! There are a couple of plug sockets available Although we're sure it's excellent, please don't read your work aloud! Don't ask for or offer feedback in the session (privately is fine) You don't just have to work on creative writing - bring whatever you're working on! And please show our venue some love by buying a drink! We may also do special reading nights and feedback sessions if there's enough interest.
