Need a little accountability to finally sit down and get some writing done? Come join us! We'll spend an hour together doing focused work in the company of other people who are also trying to make progress. Whether you're writing a dissertation, article, book, report, application, or anything else that needs words on a page, you're welcome here. There's no critique, no pressure to share your work, and no expectation beyond showing up and spending some time focused on whatever you've committed to doing. Our session structure 1. Quick introductions and intentions We'll briefly introduce ourselves and share what we're planning to focus on during the session. 2. One hour of focused work I'll set a one-hour timer, and we'll get to work! Take breaks if you need them, but otherwise this is dedicated focus time. 3. Optional check-in and chat When the timer goes off, you're welcome to stick around for a completely optional check-in to celebrate progress, commiserate about distractions, or just chat about how things went. A few quick notes Latecomers are welcome! You can join us up to halfway through the writing session. We all get distracted sometimes. 🙂 If you arrive late, feel free to introduce yourself and share your intention in the chat. Please mute yourself during the focused writing session. Cameras are completely optional. If you choose to leave yours on, please just be mindful of what might be happening in your surroundings. Feel free to leave whenever you need to...no explanation required! Come as you are, set an intention, and let's get some writing done. A quick time zone note: This group is based in Tucson, Arizona, where we don't observe Daylight Saving Time. That means the meeting time stays the same for us, but it may shift by an hour twice a year depending on where you're joining from. Time is weird. We apologize in advance.
