The Shut Up And Write! meetup happens fortnightly on Monday afternoons at Kitsch Cafe & Wine Bar, Ebley. Make contact with the facilitator, Paula, and a small, friendly, varied and supportive group (there's no obligation to attend every time, and no attendance fee). There will be a Shut Up And Write! sign up to direct you to the right place in the cafe, and you'll be sure of a warm welcome. The format is: arrive and meet fellow writers, and exchange news (5-10 mins); write (or attempt to!) silently for an hour; finish and, if wished, compare notes with others on your progress (5-10 mins) - all this over one or two Kitsch cuppas. There are no exercises, activities or readings, so absolutely no pressure to 'perform' or compare yourself with others. This is purely delicious writing time quarantined from the daily grind and distractions.
