NOTE: We are using Discord. Join us for an hour of writing from the comfort of your own home. We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with others, even if we’re all just hanging out online together. See if it’s true for you on Wednesday evenings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. And don’t worry, no one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. SCHEDULE: 7:00pm CDT - Quick intros and intention setting 7:15pm CDT - Timer starts: write for an hour 8:15pm CDT - (the end) chat / take off / keep writing WHAT DO I NEED? A computer with working camera and microphone, a good internet connection, and optionally, headphones. OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS: You must RSVP for the event Your Discord screen name must match your Shut Up & Write! profile name. You can either download the Discord app ahead of time, or join via web browser Technical difficulties are a part and parcel of getting together online. Please complete the questions and read the rules when joining the meeting. Latecomers may not be admitted.
