About this group Join us for some focus time dedicated to a writing project of your choice. The principle is simple: show up, sit down, and get words on the page. No critiques. No sharing. No pressure. Just focused writing time alongside others doing the same. We are meeting at the Utrecht Library (Neude 11, 3512 AE Utrecht) every other Monday starting from October 12th from 6pm to 8pm. You can find us by the Shut Up & Write Sign, exact instructions on the location within the library will be shared on this page closer to the first date. Make sure to RSVP in this event so we know to expect you! What to expect We will start with 10-15min for settling in and short introductions, after which we spend the next hour on silent, focused writing time. At the end of the session, you have the option to stay to chat with and get to know other members, and share your successes and challenges of the session. We want to facilitate a safe space for everyone to work on their projects without pressure, and therefore do not do critiques or read-alounds. What to bring Your preferred writing tools Headphones - the library is a calm space, but if you need noise cancellation to focus, make sure to bring your headphones Upcoming sessions Can't make it on October 12th?
