Join fellow writers each week to show up, sit down, and get words on the page. No critiques. No sharing. No pressure. Just focused writing time alongside others doing the same. After the session, you're welcome to stick around to chat, connect, and build your writing community. Wherever you are in your project, you're not doing it alone—this is your space to write. Free and open to all kinds of writing. You can bring novels, dissertations, screenplays, grant proposals, journal entries, or the essay you’ve been avoiding. If you're writing it, bring it. SUAW Method & Plan 8:00-8:15 am - Introductions Once everyone has arrived and placed their order, we can go around and introduce ourselves and briefly share a focus for the next hour. Vague counts, and "I'm just going to write" is a complete answer. The point is to shift into writing mode together. 8:15-9:15 am - Writing Time The group writes independently for an hour. Writers can use the time however they need: drafting, outlining, revising, editing, research, or planning. I will start a timer and do my best to give a 5-minute warning before time is up. 9:15-9:30 am - Wrap Up At the end, writers can share what they worked on or how the session went. Sharing is optional and is focused on the session’s experience and progress. No one will read or critique your writing. After we have all shared, the floor is open to trade ideas, recommend tools, share resources, and support each other on the writing journey!
