Whether you're working on a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 9:00-9:10 - Order refreshments; say hello 9:10-9:15 - Brief introductions; tell us what you're working on 9:15 - Timer starts: write for 90 minutes 10:45 - The end: Tell us how your writing went, chat, take off, or keep writing Optional socializing happens at the beginning and end of the session. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. Being late is okay. Just show up and get settled, then check in with the host after the session. If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to listen to your own music or block out background noise or music playing in the cafe. If you're writing on your laptop, be sure it's fully charged, as there's no guarantee you'll have an outlet nearby. The café does have free wi-fi; the password is printed on your purchase receipt. Please be prepared to order a beverage and/or snack to thank our hosts. Use a kiosk near the counter to order with a credit/debit card or your phone. OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS Parking can be tight and/or expensive here, so consider other options than driving. Happy writing, and we look forward to seeing you there on Tuesday mornings.
