Location: Le Jardin ( outdoor garden next to Elisabethenstrasse 10, and next to the church), Elisabethenstrasse 10, 4051 Basel, Switzerland
From 27 June to 8 August 2026 (summer pause in the Theater Cafe) we will be at Le Jardin (the outdoor garden next to Elisabethenstrasse 10, 4051 Basel, and next to the church). If Le Jardin is closed and/or if it is raining and/or if the heat is excessive, we will be at L’Atelier (Elisabethenstrasse 15, 4051 Basel), on the back patio, which is protected from the rain and shady. Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, a host may not be present. If this happens, please just find your fellow writers and proceed as usual. SCHEDULE 11:00 - Arrive, order something from the cafe, get settled. 11:15 - Quick introductions, timer starts and we write for 1 hour. 12:15 - The End: chat, take off, or keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING This happens starting at 12:15. BEING LATE IS OK Just show up and get settled, then check-in after the session. WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block music or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Please thank our cafe hosts by purchasing something.
