Location: Theater Café, Theaterstrasse 9, 4051 Basel
The Theater Café is now open again after the summer pause, so we will meet at the Theater Café starting Saturday 15 August. With the hot weather, I hope that this interior location will be a bit cooler than outside! The comfort of the chairs & tables may also be a bit more conducive to writing. If you’re not familiar with the venue, the Theater Café is directly behind the Elisabethen Kirche, at the top level of the Theater Basel. More information on the venue is here: https://www.theater-basel.ch/en/theatercafe TO FIND US We will have a " Shut Up & Write " sign on a table. Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, a host may not be present. If this happens, please just find your fellow writers and proceed as usual. SCHEDULE 11:00 Theater Café opens 11:00 - Arrive, order something from the café, get settled. 11:15 - Quick introductions, timer starts and we write for 1 hour. 12:15 - The End: chat, take off, or keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING This happens starting at 12:15. BEING LATE IS OK Just show up and get settled, then check-in after the session. WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block music or conversations by other patrons. Please thank our café hosts by purchasing something. Happy writing and we look forward to seeing you!
